She felt deceived, abandoned and unwanted. Because of this she hated Diego so much that she couldn't stand his presence. As a result of this, she and her mum moved to the city. She went from job to the other and luckily for her she made it from "grass to grace" and started working in Elcafetelero, a company owned by Diego's family. There she changed her name to the name she was given when she wanted to travel. The person that got her passport for her changed her name because he had the intention of sending her to another place for prostitution and not the modelling he told her of. She later legalised the name. She had the intention of meeting Diego latter on during her stay in Elcafetelero. But the day she saw him she wasn't prepared for it. She was shocked but didn't let it show otherwise she would have revealed to everyone who she really was. Later on, she and Diego reconciled and their relationship kind of started again. Later on Bernice started suspecting that her husband, Diego had found his Paloma because he suddenly became happy compared to the gloomy face he used to carry on everywhere he went to. Unfortunately for Diego, his wife knew the song Paloma sang for him because he used to play the cassette every now and then. The unfortunate day came when Bernice and Barbara went to Elcafetelero to see their husbands. Paloma was singing the song with all happiness and joy because she and Diego were supposed to elope the following day. But since Bernice knew the song an the way it was sung. She knew definitely that she had to be the Paloma. What confirmed her suspiciousness was an event that happened few days back. She found Diego hugging his "assistant". They were alone in a meeting with nobody else.
Fabian who is Diego's cousin and Barbara's husband used his cro ways to make her confess who she really is and what was going ti happen between herself and Diego the following day. She resigned and left Elcafetelero. She wasnt payed her salary, but Fabian lied that she said he should bribe her with $2000 so she would leave Elcafetelero without any problem. He also lied that he had to sleep with her before he could give her the job in Elcafetelero.
Paloma went without telling Diego because of the things Fabian said to her about Diego. He lied to her. When this happened, Diego was in the Hacienda. He is control of the Hacienda (coffee field of his family where Paloma worked as a collector).

Cuando Seas Mia

Well i have been writing have been on my school. So today i am going to write on the soap opera i love. This soap is presently being watched by almost everybody that owns a television in Nigeria. I started watching the soap opera at home and luckily for me, we have current supply of electricity and televisions, so i can watch it when i have the time. This soap is about a girl named Theresa Swarez. Her mum calls her Paloma. I guess this name is her nick name and this is also the name everyone that knows her calls. She and her mum work on the coffee field of the Sanche Seranos. Paloma falls in love with the grandson of the owner of the coffee farm named. His name is Diego. They promise to marry the following year on October 17th. But Paloma left early to London where Diego was to inform him that she was pregnant with his son. She had a lot of obstacles on the way before she could get to him. But she wasn't even able to reach him and she lost the baby she was carrying. Later on Diego married Berenice, his sister-in-law's best friend.

Wednesday 26th April, 2006

Today all started with rain that hadnt fallen in months. Most of the people awake when the rain started were so excited about the rain in Yola. We slept the way we had never done in months. The weather was so cool and nice that some people felt like sleeping for the whole day. As we thougth of enjoying this cool weather we could not but remember that nextweek tuesday is when we are going to start our exams. The only chance we have of passing our exams even if we have only few days to read, is to read extremely well, pray to God and leave the rest to Him.

Preparations for exams

Lately, school life hasn't been easy because of the test and exams we have been having. We are all stressed up from all the readings and assignments. But this is not the end because our final exams for the semester are by the corner. From nextweek tuesday through friday has been set up for exams. Most of our teachers want us to read everything we have been taught for the semester for the exam. I believe this is unfair because we have little time left to read a whole semester teachings for the exams. We are still having classes and assignments. If only they know what we are going through reading and practicing for exams, i bet they will consider reducing what we have to read.

In the midst of all these readings, we have to have enough rests or else some people might breakdown. We also have to play a "little" because as teh saying goes; "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". I believe no one in this school of mine wants to be dull.

The only good thing about nextweek is that, immediately after our exams we are allowed to leave school for our various homes. I will definitely miss the school, most of my professor and my friends when i go home, but in no time i will be back in school again.

      C ya.

At this present moment, the school is very boring and exams are fast approaching. The people you have here aslo have funny behaviours. This is my 2nd semester here and am beginning to see the true colour of some people. Some are saucy, rude, while some are GOSSIPS, then a few of them are nice while only a hand-full of them are really. I can give you a list of those that fall into this category, but hey. i am not that mean. Some people might think i am writing this out of beef or something, but the truth is actually bitter when it is brought to the open. Some people just have to accept this fact. Some like to hide under the name of being kind or being a straight forward person while some just like to camouflage the real person in them. This is very bad cause one day, ur true self will definitely come out it so going to be a shame and be hurtful that u wil wish 4 d ground to open and swallow u.

Well i think i have to stop because if i continue or if i am permitted i can definitely write an essay on the behaviours of AAUN students.

First experience in AAUN

Well AAUN, the first American University in Nigeria (i guess but not too sure) which is located in Yola. I was fortunate to get admission into this school, AAUN. It wasn't exactly planned for because i just got out of secondary school. My first day was a very sad one because i didnt see any face i had known in the past. It was very frustrating because my hopes on seeing someone i knew was very high. I have to admit it, i cried the first day because of two major reasons. This was my first time of leaving home to a far away place like this without anybody i knew. Although i went to a boarding secondary school, it wasnt exactly far away from home. Secondly, i knew nobody in this new, deserted area.
Although i was not happy leaving home, the reception i got in AAUN was OK. The professors were friendly inluding the Vice Presidents and the President of the University.
